Avoid Unexpected Dental Costs.
If your dental work will cost more than $300, ask your dentist to submit the anticipated treatment and charges before work is started. The pre-authorization is prepared by United Concordia Dental and returned to your dentist with the amount to be paid by the Program. You will receive a copy of the pre-authorization by mail.
A pre-authorization is encouraged, but not required. It is an estimate of benefits and not a guarantee of payment.

BTF Dental:
Starting January 1, 2026, members of the California Correctional Peace Officers Association (CCPOA) and their families will use United Concordia Dental benefits to maximize their dental health.
Enjoy the same benefits as before. If you’re an active CCPOA member, you you will be enrolled in the BTF Core Dental plan from United Concordia.
You can pay less out-of-pocket by using the Piggyback plan from the Trust.
Members can reduce their costs even more by enrolling in the Piggyback program through the Trust. Piggyback helps lower your out-of-pocket costs on dental, vision and hearing-aids.

You will receive a welcome letter containg your Dental ID number. Log in to: UnitedConcordia.com/GetMDB
Have your member ID or Social Security number handy to create an account. MyDentalBenefits is the online hub to check coverage, claims and payments, print extra ID cards and more.
Get the App
Your app and digital ID are as close as your phone.
You can download the MyDentalBenefits app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. If you lose your card, don’t worry. You can always find your digital ID in your MyDentalBenefits app.
