What Is It?
Our vision services provider is Vision Service Plan (VSP), the nation's largest eye care doctor network. VSP provides high quality vision care to CCPOA members.
There are no claim forms or membership cards.
Benefits include 2 pair of frames and lenses each year, as well as coverage for contact lenses and additional discounted services.
Plan services are different for Active, Retired and Supervisor members.

What Does it Cost?
ACTIVE: $2.00 out-of-pocket member cost. The actual cost of the VSP plan $15.30/mo. The outstanding balance is split between the State and the Trust.
Supervisor: The Trust’s VSP ‘Second Pair benefit” is in addition to your CoBen “Basic Vision” plan. Supervisors pay $0 for this additional coverage.
RETIRED: Plans start at $2.41/mo.

As a Supervisor you are AUTOMATICALLY enrolled in the state funded vision plan, also through VSP. Your FIRST pair of glasses is through this plan.
Vision coverage through the Trust provides you a SECOND PAIR benefit. Supervisors pay $0 for this additional coverage.

The Trust's VSP second pair benefit is in addition to your CoBen "Basic Vision" plan.

When you choose contacts instead of glasses, your $110 contact allowance applies to the cost of your contacts and the contact lens exam (fitting and evaluation). This exam is in addition to your vision exam to ensure proper fit of your contacts.
Second Pair Benefit - every 12 months
This enhancement allows you to obtain a second pair of prescription glasses or contact lenses subject to the same plan limits as noted above.
Now at Costco
Costco is now part of the VSP Open Access network. That means you can use your VSP benefits for exams and glasses at Costco, and get the discount pricing they are known for.

To All California-Based Subscribers and Enrollees:
Vision Service Plan members are entitled to receive annual notification of their plans’ grievance processes. As a result, this notice contains information regarding VSP’s grievance system, including the methods by which VSP members can communicate their comments to VSP.
